Step 1 of 7 — Property Type

What type of property
is this fence for?

The property type helps determine the appropriate security specification, height recommendation, and wire gauge for your site.

Step 2 of 7 — Fence Height

Choose your
fence height

ClearVu fence panels are available in four standard heights. Height directly affects security level and cost per linear metre.

Panel dimensions: Each panel is 3.0m wide and comes in the height selected below. Posts are set at 3.0m centres, embedded in concrete foundations 600mm deep.
📏
1.8 metres
Minimum height. Suitable for internal partitions, car parks, and low-risk perimeters. Not recommended for primary security boundaries.
Base rate from KSh 7,500/m
📏
2.1 metres
Good residential height. More difficult to vault than 1.8m. Suitable for homes in moderate-risk areas.
Base rate from KSh 8,500/m
📏
2.4 metres
The most popular height in Kenya. Excellent balance of security and cost. Exceeds a person's reach by a significant margin.
Base rate from KSh 9,500/m
Most Popular
📏
3.0 metres
Maximum standard height. For industrial, embassy, and high-security applications. Effectively impossible to overcome without equipment.
Base rate from KSh 12,500/m
Step 3 of 7 — Wire Gauge & Colour

Wire specification
& finish colour

Wire gauge determines the fence's resistance to cutting and physical attack. Colour affects aesthetics and longevity of the powder coat finish.

Mesh aperture: All ClearVu wire options use the same 76.2 × 12.7mm (3" × ½") aperture — the "358" specification that makes the fence anti-climb and anti-cut regardless of wire gauge selected.
Wire Gauge
4mm Standard Wire
Standard grade. Resists common hand tools. Suitable for residential, schools, and commercial premises. Most widely used in Kenya.
Standard pricing
Most Common
5mm Heavy-Duty Wire
Heavy-duty grade. Higher resistance to cutting tools. For industrial, government, and high-security applications. Heavier, stiffer panel.
+ KSh 1,000–1,500/m premium
Colour / Finish

Step 4 of 7 — Measurements

Your fence
measurements

Enter the total length of fence to be installed and the terrain details. All quantities and prices will be calculated automatically.

How to measure: Walk or map the perimeter where the fence will be installed. Measure the total linear run in metres. Subtract any gate opening widths — they are priced separately in the next step. If using Google Maps, use the 'Measure distance' tool in satellite view.
Step 5 of 7 — Gate Requirements

How many gates
do you need?

All gates are ClearVu panel gates matching your selected height, finish colour, and specification. Gate prices include posts, hinges, locks, and installation.

Gate note: Gate widths listed are clear opening widths. All gates are fabricated from the same ClearVu mesh as the fence panels and powder-coated in your chosen colour. Zero gates is fine — just leave all at 0.

Security topping &
optional extras

Enhance the top of your ClearVu fence with additional security layers. Electric topping is the most popular upgrade for Kenya's urban environment.

Fence Topping
No Topping
ClearVu fence only. The mesh itself is anti-climb — no topping needed for most residential and commercial sites.
No additional cost
Electric Fence Topping
8-10 live wire strands above the mesh. Delivers safe but memorable shock. Includes energizer, battery backup, and warning signs.

+ KSh 350/m (KSh 3,500/10m roll)
🔒
Razor Wire + Electric
Both razor wire and electric topping combined. Maximum deterrence. For high-security sites, embassies, and industrial compounds.

FAQ

ClearVu Fence
Questions Answered

The most common questions about Clear View fencing in Kenya — answered directly.

What is the price of Clear View fence per metre in Kenya?+
Clear View fence in Kenya costs between KSh 7,500 and KSh 14,500 per linear metre fully installed, depending on height, wire gauge, colour, and terrain. A standard 2.4m height with 4mm wire in dark green (the most common specification) costs approximately KSh 9,500 per metre, inclusive of panels, posts, concrete foundations, and installation labour. Use the configurator above for an exact quote for your specific measurements.
Why is ClearVu fence considered anti-climb and anti-cut?+
The security of ClearVu fencing comes from its extremely small mesh aperture: 76.2mm × 12.7mm (approximately 3" × ½"). This mesh size is too narrow to insert a finger, foot, or the jaw of a bolt cutter. An intruder cannot grip the fence to climb it, and standard bolt cutters cannot grip a single wire strand to cut it. The fence is also rigid — unlike chain-link, it does not flex or bow under pressure, which eliminates the "ladder effect" exploited to climb traditional fences.
What colour is ClearVu fence available in Kenya?+
Clear View fence in Kenya is available in Dark Green (RAL 6005) — the most popular choice for residential and commercial properties — as well as Black (RAL 9005), Anthracite (RAL 7016), and plain galvanised (silver). The powder coat finish is baked-on over the galvanised wire, providing a double layer of corrosion protection. Custom colours are available on request for larger orders.
Can Clear View fence be combined with electric fencing?+
Yes, and this is one of the most popular combinations in Kenya. An electric fence topping of 8–10 live wire strands is mounted above the ClearVu mesh panels. The combination provides both a physical barrier (the anti-climb mesh) and an electrical deterrent (the live topping). The addition costs approximately KSh 1,100/m extra and includes the energizer, battery backup, warning signs, and all wiring. Schools, embassies, and high-security estates commonly specify this combination.
How long does ClearVu fence last in Kenya's climate?+
ClearVu fencing is galvanised and powder-coated, giving it excellent resistance to Kenya's equatorial climate, including high humidity at the coast, UV radiation in sunny areas, and the wet conditions of the Highlands. The expected lifespan of the mesh panels is 15–25 years under normal conditions. The posts and foundations are designed to last the life of the structure. Regular cleaning with water and occasional inspection of the powder coat for damage is the only maintenance required.
How long does installation take and do you work countrywide?+
Our teams typically install 30–50 linear metres per day under normal conditions. A 100m perimeter fence takes 2–3 days. For urgent or large projects, we mobilise additional teams. We install across all 47 Kenyan counties — Nairobi teams are our primary resource, but we regularly mobilise to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Laikipia, and all upcountry locations. Transport costs are quoted transparently and included in your configuration above.
