Common Questions
Things People Always Ask
How much does an electric fence cost in Kenya?+
A top wall fence costs KES 800 to 1,200 per metre. A free-standing fence costs KES 1,800 to 3,000 per metre. A normal 50 by 100 plot (about 92 metres) costs between KES 85,000 and 125,000 all included. Use the tool above for your own price.
What is included in the price?+
The price covers the energizer machine, wire, posts, earthing, warning signs, battery backup and the labour to fit everything. Nothing extra is added later — what you see is what you pay.
How long does it take to install?+
A normal home takes 1 to 3 days. Bigger farms or compounds can take up to a week, depending on size.
Does the fence still work when there is a power cut?+
Yes. Every fence comes with a battery that keeps it running when the power goes off. You can also choose solar power so it never depends on electricity at all.
Can I get a discount?+
Yes, we sometimes give a small discount of up to 5%. You can enter your discount code in the quote screen above once you see your price.
Do you install outside Nairobi?+
Yes, we install all over Kenya. Tell us your town and we will let you know the travel cost, if any, when we confirm your final price.
